Profile
Dr. Were has practiced addiction medicine for over three years. He describes addiction as a problem that can have an impact on everyone, and sees a tremendous need for addiction medicine services both in our community and nationwide. He believes that as a physician he has a responsibility to be a part of a solution to this crisis.
Medication management is the primary focus of his practice, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary approach to treatment of addiction. Sharing in a patient's success in treatment is always a fulfilling experience for Dr. Werle. He says that it is never too late for those living with substance abuse disorder to ask for help, adding that the very dedicated team of physicians and nurses at TVC Addiction Medicine can help guide our patients along the path to recovery.
Interests & Activities
When he's not in clinic, Dr. Werle enjoys spending time with family & friends, camping, boating, hunting, fishing, and mountain biking in our great Alaskan outdoors.
