Brooke Walls, D.O. is a board certified dermatologist with a special interest in treating skin cancer both medically and surgically. She received her medical training from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her traditional rotating internship as well as her dermatology residency in Tampa, Florida through Nova Southeastern University and Largo Medical Center.
During her time in Florida, she spent a year between her internship and residency working at Moffitt Cancer Center in the epidemiology and cutaneous oncology departments researching rare skin cancers such as melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma. Upon completion of residency, Brooke was accepted into a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard health care system, to further study and treat patients with very rare and high risk skin cancers. She has extensive training in the treatment of rare skin cancers such as melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, high risk non-melanoma skin cancers, and skin toxicities from chemotherapy and systemic medications. She also has extensive surgical training Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers.
While she has a special interest in skin cancer, she enjoys all aspects of dermatology care, treating both adults and children. Dr. Walls received extensive training in cosmetic procedures including botox, fillers and lasers as well.
Interests & Activities
Dr. Walls was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado and is an avid outdoors woman. She is excited to be in Alaska to return to the great outdoors and a simpler way of life. She enjoys endurance sports, such as long distance running, and when not running in the mountains she enjoys getting lost in a good novel. Dr. Walls also has a creative side which she expresses through her love of cooking and painting.
