Adult & Gerontological acute care
Tanana Valley Clinic
Nursing runs in Nurse Practitioner McClintock's family. Her mother was a nurse and five of her aunts are nurses. She was raised hearing medical jargon, and was always intrigued with their stories of caring for patients and working in the medical field. She believes the best patient experience stems from being a provider that practices in a holistic, patient-centered manner, and she strives to align with patient goals in order to develop the best plan for their care and health. McClintock is most comfortable treating the adult and the gerontological (aging) populations. She describes the challenge and complexity of caring for patients with co-morbidities as "detective" work while she makes her way through their health history and problems to figure out how best to care for them.
Interests & Activities
Away from her practice, Ms. McClintock loves to go exploring and camping with her family. She loves to fish and has had "so much fun" learning how to fish for the different species Alaska has to offer. She also enjoys reading and painting with acrylics. She and her family enjoy running for personal wellness. She says running is a great activity for a family. It relieves stress for her, and helps her boys to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
