Born and raised in Fairbanks and proud to call Alaska home, Kate Carey, DO, is honored to provide medical care for our community. As an Osteopathic physician, her goal is to promote all aspects of health in her patients: mind, body and spirit. As a DO, Dr. Carey recognizes the ability of the body to self heal and aims to augment this capacity to maximize health and healing.
Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Dr. Carey is interested in the treatment of sports related injuries. She holds a special interest in the treatment of torticollis and plagiocephaly, in addition to breastfeeding support and Osteopathic treatment in the newborn period to maximize and improve breastfeeding, as well as treatment of back and pelvic pain during pregnancy.
Dr. Carey serves as the Medical Director for TVC's Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine deptartment and sits on the TVC Governance Committee.
Interests & Activities
In her spare time, Dr. Carey enjoys traveling, cross-country skiing, hiking, running, and spending time with her family.
