Walk with a doc or future doc. The idea is simple- the hour starts off with a short presentation on any variety of health topics followed by a walk. This is a great opportunity to exercise, meet new people and learn how to improve your health.

- Great "Day One": If you’ve been wanting to start an exercise routine but feel intimidated by gyms, walking is the most accessible way to begin. No special gear or skill required, just show up as you are.
- Stress-free outing for caregivers: Looking for a low-stress activity to do with a loved one that you care for? The Big Dipper is flat, climate-controlled, and accessible to all mobility levels, offering a change of scenery for both of you.
- Instant community: New to Fairbanks or just looking to expand your social circle? This is a zero-pressure way to meet people and health professionals in a friendly, conversational setting.
- Winter-proof your health: Don't let the below zero temps, snow, ice, and dark keep you sedentary. Get your steps in without worrying about slipping, freezing, or a monthly gym membership fee.
- Expert access (For free): Learn something new from a health care provider you trust and get your questions answered in a casual, approachable environment.
- Body and brain boost: Beyond just physical fitness, walks are known to sharpen your memory, clear "brain fog," and significantly lower anxiety.
