It was during a surgical rotation, while earning her DNP, that Ms. Quirion gained inspiration to get into anesthetics. Her conversation with the anesthesia provider on the case, and his enthusiasm for the profession, inspired her to follow anesthesia as a career path. Caring for one patient at a time appeals to Ms. Quirion. She enjoys providing anesthesia care that aims to manage hemodynamics safely, while minimizing pain throughout the perioperative period. Meeting the unique challenges every anesthesia providers faces is very rewarding for Ms. Quirion, and working within the FMH team to offer safe patient-centric care is at the core of every anesthetic she provides. She believes in addressing all patient/family questions and concerns helps lessen their stress, which is inherent with any hospital experience.
Interests & Activities
Ms. Quirion is all about adventure, and enjoys the outdoor activities and experiences unique to Alaska. Highlights include exploring Castner Glacier with friends, chasing the aurora, cross-country skiing in the winter and hiking in Denali during the summer months. She describes Alaska as the most unique place she has had the opportunity to live.
