Cardiac CT for Calcium Scoring

Assess Your Risk

A coronary calcium imaging is a non-invasive imaging test done on a  Siemens “Drive” Dual Source CT that measures the amount of calcium deposits in the coronary arteries. These deposits are a marker of plaque buildup. The imaging helps assess the risk of heart disease and may guide preventive measures or treatment decisions. Coronary calcium imagings are recommended for individuals without known coronary artery disease. The parameters for coronary calcium imagings are for men over 40 and women over 50 years of age. Take charge of your heart health and speak to your physician about getting a coronary calcium imaging to assess your risk.

Individuals considered high-risk category include:

  • High Blood Pressure
  • High Cholesterol
  • Diabetes
  • High Stress Levels
  • A History of Smoking
  • Men over 40 years of age
  • Women over 50 years of age
  • Family History of Heart Disease

At Fairbanks Imaging and Breast Center, our commitment is to use the latest and most cutting-edge Siemens CT technology, guaranteeing that our patients consistently receive the lowest possible radiation dose during their procedures. We take pride in offering the most advanced and low-dose CT imaging available, effectively reducing radiation exposure by an impressive 60-80%.
