Fairbanks Memorial Hospital's Laboratory represents a team of highly qualified health care professionals dedicated to producing accurate, complete and timely laboratory results. By providing excellent service, the laboratory strives to assist other health professionals in the delivery of quality patient care. 

The laboratory at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is accredited by AABB, CLIA and the College of American Pathologists, and is inspected by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).  Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Laboratory at Tanana Valley Clinic is accredited by CLIA and COLA. Most routine tests can be processed in our facility with results available the same day.  Urgent specimens will have results available to the physician within 1 hour of collection.  On-site Pathologists can interpret results and consult with your physician in real time, if needed.

Lab Services Update

✅ The Lab at FIBC (soon to be the Hattan Building) is OPEN and fully capable of serving our patients — including on Saturdays!

✅ The Lab at JMCCC (CANCER CENTER) is OPEN and fully capable of serving our patients Monday-Friday

🔴 The Lab at Doolittle is TEMPORARILY CLOSED. Will reopen in November 2025.

🔴 The Lab at TVC is PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

Please note: The lobby at FIBC may appear full. Don’t worry — the lab is running smoothly! The full lobby is often due to other appointments (like imaging), and lab patients are still being taken care of promptly.
