COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments Available for 65+ and Health Care Workers Tuesday, Feb. 9: As of this morning, Sat. Feb, 6, there were almost 500 appointments still available for the Community Vaccine Clinic at the Carlson Center on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Click here to make an appointment. State Clarifies Definition of ‘Health Care Worker’ Expanding Eligibility: The attached Provider Update includes a clarification from the State of Alaska Division of Health and Social Services regarding the definition of ‘health care worker’ as it relates to vaccine eligibility. This clarification includes individuals who provide care and support of an elderly person as well as teachers and other school staff who may be providing health care activities for students. Read the attached for more information. There are many people who may be eligible for the vaccine due to the care they provide but may not recognize themselves as a health care worker. Please read the Provider Update and share the information with others.
