TVC was founded in 1959 by Dr. Lawrence Dunlap and Dr. James Lundquist in a log cabin on the north side of the Chena River. Today, the clinic is home to over 50 providers in 15 primary and specialty care departments, and is the largest and most comprehensive locally-owned clinic in the state of Alaska. We have a 60 year history of providing the highest level of care to our interior community.

Our iconic four-story building is located on one of the main downtown arteries of Fairbanks, with our 1st Care Center conveniently across the street.

We are committed to growing with our state, branching out to meet the needs of our interior residents. We prove this by offering 15 specialized departments and 60 providers, working together to provide best health care to you and your family.

Tanana Valley Clinic providers serve all patients with the highest level of comprehensive care. We provide that care under one roof and we accept Medicare, Medicaid/Denali Kid Care, TRICARE, and private insurance. TVC is located on the corner of 10th and Noble street in downtown Fairbanks.

Our 1st Care Clinic provides walk-in care for minor injuries and illnesses, available seven days a week 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 1st Care is located on the corner of 11th and Noble street in downtown Fairbanks.
