Profile

Kathrine Clawson, DNP was born in Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, so it's fitting that she get's to work here and take care of the community in which she was raised. Growing up in Fairbanks, Ms. Clawson's desire to help people inspired her to follow a career path in medicine. She believes anesthesia providers are integral members of the surgical team, and was always drawn to surgery because she liked the idea of fixing something concrete that could make a profound difference in someone's life. Ms. Clawson is inspired by the quest to deliver the perfect anesthetic.   

Interests & Activities

Ms. Clawson enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and friends, which usually involves skiing, camping, fishing and enjoying a good fire. You will also find her working on house projects. She and her husband built their house together, and she finds great satisfaction when projects graduate from sketches to reality. For personal wellness, Ms. Clawson likes to bike, ski and enjoy a good book.
