Surgical Care

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital provides expert surgical care for procedures ranging from routine to highly specialized. Whether repairing a hernia, replacing a hip, or fixing an ailing heart, our medical professionals have the surgical experience, skill and technology to ensure safety and achieve the best possible outcomes for adult and pediatric patients.

Our state-of-the-art surgery space became operational in April of 2017.  The $88 million expansion provides surgeons and staff with advanced medical technology and provides you exceptional care.

State-of-the-art surgical suites, board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists and the latest in surgical techniques and technologies allow us to perform a wide range of inpatient and outpatient procedures including orthopedics, plastics, gynecology and more.

Patients recover from surgery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where caregivers trained in adult and pediatric advanced life support and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) monitor their recovery and ensure adequate pain management.

As a continuation of our surgical care, we provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to help patients recover and return to their highest level of function as quickly and safely as possible.
