Profile

The kindness, compassion and intelligence shown by her grandmother’s care team inspired Ms. Jones to pursue a career in health care. The recognition that mental health was often overlooked or undertreated, combined with the desire to become a part of the solution to that problem, drew Ms. Jones to the mental health specialty. Ms. Jones wholeheartedly believes in the patient-centered approach, and that it is critical to see each patient as an expert on themselves. She recognizes that mental health does not occur in a silo, and values collaborating with other providers.

Ms. Jones is a proud military spouse and recognizes the unique skills and challenges military life can bring. She is constantly inspired by her patients' courage and resilience. Her patients motivate Ms. Jones to improve herself as a person and a provider. 

Interests & Activities

Away from work, Ms. Jones enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. Her favorite pastime is walking her dogs in the snow. Otherwise, you can find her fishing, kayaking, biking or exploring Alaska.  She believes personal wellness includes the body and soul and incorporates healthy eating, exercise, meditation and journaling into her daily life. She admits that life can be overwhelming at times, and believes in the importance of laughter and finding a community that can lend support through difficult times.
