Profile

Helen Gaynes, PA-C is a physician assistant with the FHP Internal Medicine and Senior Care clinic.  Ms. Gaynes has a passion for preventive health care and loves to provide patients the space to discuss nutrition, sleep and exercise among other health topics.  She enjoys taking into account each patient's unique scenario while working together to create an individualized treatment plan. 

Ms. Gaynes practices patient-centered care, and believes that she, her patients, and their families are on the same team. She fosters a collaborative approach through active listening and empathy, with the goal of working through a menu of management options to always include patients in the decision-making process.

Interests & Activities

Ms. Gaynes loves the views, hikes and outdoor activities Alaska has to offer. Away from the clinic, you will find her cross country skiing, hiking, or playing pickleball. She also enjoys board games, reading, and cooking new meals to try.
