Profile

Family Nurse Practitioner Ari Smith believes that patient care starts with compassion and communication. She delivers patient-centered care with patient involvement in developing the care plan at the core of her values. A desire to help others inspired her to begin a nursing career. As Ms. Smith became more intrigued in medicine, she furthered her education to earn her master's in nursing (FNP) degree in 2022.

Ms. Smith strives to provide the best care possible to the diverse Fairbanks community. Her career began in 2012 as a certified medical specialist with Fairbanks Cancer Career Physicians. She served as a registered nurse at both Denali Center and Fairbanks Memorial Hospital from 2015 to 2023. Ms. Smith is thrilled to now practice at FHP's Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic, giving her the opportunity to provide care to community members across the lifespan, while allowing her to continue her primary focus of working with our senior population. 

Interests & Activities

Ms. Smith has called Alaska home since 2010, and thoroughly relishes spending time outdoors.  Away from the clinic, she likes to go hiking, camping and fishing, and also enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with friends.  For personal wellness, you will find her running, skiing or hiking to stay active and relieve stress.
