A CT scan, also known as a cat scan, is a medical imaging technology that uses X-rays and computer processing to create detailed images of the body. CT scanning is a non-invasive procedure that provides highly accurate information about the structure and function of organs, bones, and tissues. With the help of a CT scan, doctors can diagnose a wide range of medical conditions, from cancer and heart disease to head injuries and lung infections. The technology is also used for planning surgical procedures and monitoring the effectiveness of treatments. Whether you need to investigate an ongoing health issue or want to stay proactive with your health, a CT scan is a valuable tool for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Our team is here to help you every step of the way to assure you get the best diagnosis treatment possible.

Computed Tomography
The radiation dose patients receive during any exam is something our radiologists take very seriously. Each member of our staff has taken the "Image Wisely and Image Gently" Pledge with the American College of Radiology, which states that each patient's CT scan is customized to the patient according to their height, weight and age, to minimize radiation exposure. By following these standards, we are able to claim that CT scans at FIBC are the safest in all of Alaska.
