Fairbanks, August 24, 2023 - Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is delighted to announce the highly anticipated reopening of our OB/GYN Clinic. After a temporary closure in August 2022 due to staffing shortages, Foundation Health Partners invested a year of meticulous preparation, recruiting top talent, and implementing strategic measures to ensure an improved and sustainable future for the clinic.

With the reopening, FHP is excited to introduce two highly skilled providers who will play pivotal roles in the revitalization of the OB/GYN Clinic. Mariah Minder, MD, a Fairbanksan with deep community roots, emphasizes her local connection in her approach to care. Having completed a rigorous four-year obstetrics and gynecology residency at St. Joseph Hospital & Medical Center and Valleywise Health & Medical Center, Dr. Minder is well-prepared to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients.

“I'm looking forward to returning home to Fairbanks, a community that's very close to my heart,” Dr. Minder said. “I'm deeply passionate about women’s health and am excited to be part of a team focused on enhancing the health and well-being of this community."

Dr. Mark Miles, who is currently on-site and actively assisting with community call, is preparing to transition to a full-time role with FHP. With over 40 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, his expertise will greatly benefit the team. Dr. Miles’ extensive work in the specialty, including previous employment with FHP, has earned him profound connections and admiration from local residents and community providers.

With the return of skilled providers like Dr. Mariah Minder and Dr. Mark Miles, we're confident in delivering exceptional care for women in our community."

The FHP OB/GYN Clinic has proudly served women in our community for over 60 years, establishing a longstanding presence. Foundation Health Partners is dedicated to restoring and preserving the clinic's important role in providing exceptional care. Our commitment extends far beyond the next 60 years, as we aim to ensure continuous operation and support for the women in our community for generations to come.

The reopening of the FHP OB/GYN clinic is scheduled for Monday, September 18, on the fourth floor of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital at 1650 Cowles St. New and existing patients can now call the clinic to secure an appointment with one of our dedicated providers.
