Dr. Ivey is an anesthesiologist with Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Surgical Services. As a sophomore in high school his family sold their farm, and It was then that he realized he needed to find an occupation rather than being a farmer. He figured the next best thing would to become a physician, though he still loves farming to this day.

He chose anesthesia as a specialty because it offers the best of both worlds, medicine and surgery. Dr. Ivey believes in greeting everyone with a smile, treating them with kindness, and always providing the best medical care.

Interests & Activities

Away from the OR, he enjoys doing everything outdoors in the beautiful countryside of Alaska. He's particularly fond of cycling, saying there's never been a bicycle that he hasn't enjoyed riding. He also owns and operates a timber framing and furniture building business.
