Profile
Porsche DeHut, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Ms. DeHut is an experienced bedside nurse in both behavioral health and critical care units who furthered her education to serve as a nurse practitioner. Her passion for mental health began long before her nursing career when she served as a medic in the U.S. Army and witnessed, firsthand, the struggles of soldiers and veterans face in accessing the mental healthcare they desperately needed.
Ms. DeHut practices patient-centered care and actively involves her patients in their care plan through working together to set personalized goals and explore treatment option that best suit their needs. She is inspired daily by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Knowing that her actions can help someone feel better or more understood fulfills her sense of purpose.
Interests & Activities
Away from the hospital, Ms. DeHut enjoys reading, crocheting, four-wheeling, taking her dogs on walks, and exploring the outdoors. During her time as a temporary resident of Alaska years ago, she fell in love with the stunning scenery, the quiet charm of Fairbanks, and the kindliness of the local community, and is thrilled to now call Fairbanks her permanent home.
