Vanessa Miller, DrPH, PMHNP is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with the FHP Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic. The impact of health disparities in populations affected by mental illness, substance use and economic deprivation inspired Ms. Miller's career path. She believes in creating healthier communities one patient at a time through her work in clinic, engaging in research and political activism.
Ms. Miller has a keen interest in the impact of stigma of mental health and substance use on treatment, especially alcohol.
Interests & Activities
In her spare time, Ms. Miller enjoys spending time with her dogs, reading, writing, listening to, and making music. She also studies history and religion and is inspired by nature. She practices meditation for personal wellness.
