Abraham Tsigonis, MD, FACS is a surgeon practicing with the Foundation Health Partners General Surgery department. Fairbanks born and raised, his interest in medicine started while watching his mother practice medicine here in the Interior. Dr. Tsigonis likes the instant gratification that surgery provides, and was drawn to the practice primarily by the ability to see quick and tangible differences being made in patient's lives.
With a primary goal of excellent surgical outcomes, Dr. Tsigonis strives with every patient to communicate in a way that they feel heard and understood. He values building relationship and trust with patients who are usually seeing him as a result of a challenging time in their life.
Interests & Activities
Away from his practice, Dr. Tsigonis loves being with his family and friends while outdoors. You can find them boating on interior rivers, fishing in Valdez, camping and hunting. He practices personal wellness through prayer, fellowship and exercise. Dr. Tsigonis is inspired daily by his wife and kids and strives to make this town, state and world a better place for those who come after us.
