Cardiology

Porter Heart and Vascular Center
Profile
Born and raised in Fairbanks, Daku graduated from Lathrop High School. She completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Biology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). From there, Daku jumped straight into her prerequisites for Physician Assistant (PA) school, working as a medical assistant and volunteering at the American Red Cross.
The MEDEX PA Program, part of the University of Washington School of Medicine, allowed Daku to complete many of her rotations in the Interior. That is when she was first introduced to the Porter Heart and Vascular Center. Working with patients in an ever changing field was the perfect spot for Daku and she couldn’t be happier to rejoin the team.
Interests & Activities
Outside of the work, Daku loves being outdoors. She and her husband, Levi and their dog appropriately named Cabela can be found outside exploring, fly-fishing and skiing.
