Kari Gondeck DNP, APNP, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner with the Porter Heart & Vascular center at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Kari's mother was a nurse, which inspired her to follow a nursing career path. While working as a bedside RN in an ICU, Kari found a passion in educating and caring for cardiac patients. She continued her education and has served as a nurse practitioner in cardiology since 2007.

As a nurse practitioner, Kari enjoys the opportunity to meet patients in the clinic setting to focus on prevention, health & wellness, and disease management. She views each patient as unique individuals and finds it important to listen to concerns, discuss options and work together to develop and individualized plan of care.  

Interests & Activities

Kari exercises regularly and enjoys healthy eating.  She is avidly involved in triathlons, and through 2024 has competed in 18 full distance ironman triathlons. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs hiking, biking and traveling.
