Flu Clinic

TVC is offering drive-up flu shots for current TVC Pediatric patients (6 months to 18 years old) and their families.

October is typically the beginning of the annual flu season in the Interior. As flu season begins, it is important to consider the double threat of influenza and COVID-19. Both are highly contagious respiratory illnesses, but they are caused by different viruses. Vaccination is the primary method for preventing the flu and its complications, and it is the best way to protect yourself and your family.

Appointments are required. The drive-up flu shot clinic is available to current TVC Pediatric patients and their families.

Beginning Saturday, Oct. 2, drive-up flu vaccines will be offered:

  • Saturday, October 2, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 9, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 16, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Here’s how it works:

  • Make an appointment by calling 907-459-3520
  • Follow the signs to the drive-thru flu clinic at 800 Noble Street (the former First National Bank building, across the street from the Westmark Hotel).
  • Every family member in the car must wear their mask
  • Dress yourself and family members in short sleeved shirts
  • Have infants and toddlers dressed in a diaper or shorts.
  • Stay in your vehicle. The TVC team will bring the paperwork and then administer the flu vaccine right through the open car window and/or door.

Insurance can be billed for the cost of the flu shot, just like if it was administered during an office visit.
