About Behavioral Health
Fairbanks Memorial Hospital is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services. A secured Behavioral Health Unit within the hospital ensures a safe environment where adult patients may receive inpatient treatment including crisis intake and psychiatric stabilization. Our department’s individual and group sessions helps patients learn new skills and behaviors while expanding their support network.
Additionally, a multi-disciplinary treatment team of licensed psychiatrists, physicians, psychiatric nurses, technicians, and social workers ensures patients are thoroughly cared for – mind, body and spirit. Treatment team members work closely with families and outpatient care providers to coordinate after-care treatment for patients whose conditions require ongoing treatment and evaluation.
