Profile
Michael Parente, PA-C always desired to impact others through service in his community. His medical career path began in the fire department as a firefighter EMT, and then later as a paramedic. The satisfaction he gained from that inspired him to grow his scope of practice and skills to deliver care. PA Parente's primary inspiration for diabetic care was his father, who was a type 1 diabetic for over 50 years before passing. Hearing the stories of his struggles in his youth and witnessing it firsthand, PA Parente feels a personal responsibility to help alleviate others who carry that burden.
Building trust and meeting patients where they are is how PA Parente has always approached creating an impactful patient experience. He believes that patients desire a trustworthy provider, whom they can rely on, and one who will empower them to be heard and be a part of the decision-making.
Interests & Activities
Away from clinic, PA Parente enjoys spending time with his family, going to church, playing and watching sports, working on cars, and anything outdoors. Indoors, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and seldomly, playing video games. Being in Alaska now, he and his family want to embrace more and broaden our outdoor hobbies.
He really loves doing service for anyone, but especially for those who are going through a rough time. The sense of fulfillment seeing others lifted out of a physical, emotional or financial slump is a feeling that drives his best efforts.
