CNA Trainee

Denali Center has created a four week state-approved Certified Nurse Aide training program. This paid training program teaches participants the basic skills needed to assist nurses and to be effective health care team members, and qualifies participants to sit for the State of Alaska Nurse Aide Certification exam upon completion. 

This course includes a minimum of 60 classroom/online instruction hours and 80 supervised skills and clinical experience hours.

  • Trainees will spend 40-hours a week training in the classroom and working hands on in the neighborhoods of Denali Center, strengthening their understanding of CNA job duties and building relationships with residents and staff.
  • All class materials, licensing and application fees related to the course are covered by Foundation Health Partners.
  • Employment with Denali Center as a CNA for at least a year after certification is expected of participants.
