CNA Trainee
The Denali Center is proud to offer a paid training opportunity for individuals seeking to work as a Certified Nurse Aide. Successful applicants will begin their first weeks of employment as a student in our state-approved training program, which blends classroom, simulation labs, and hands-on clinical experiences. Each class has a max of eight students to ensure the highest quality educational experience. Upon completion, participants are qualified to sit for the State of Alaska Nurse Aide Certification Exam.
This course includes a minimum of 60 classroom/online instruction hours and 80 supervised skills and clinical experience hours.
- Trainees will spend 40-hours a week training in the classroom and working hands-on in the neighborhoods of Denali Center, strengthening their understanding of CNA job duties, and building relationships with residents and staff.
- All class materials, licensing and application fees related to the course are covered by Foundation Health Partners.
- Employment with Denali Center as a CNA for at least a year after certification is expected of participants.
